This series of collage work reflects the aesthetic of the immigration from the rural to urban with the texture and the broken pieces of the city. With the collagae technic, it reflects how random is the architecture of the city. The writings on the walls(God Bless You, Babaevi Apartment), the God and the child in the soldier uniform draws the general picture of the society. In addition, the clothes at the side of the balconies and the women looking outside from the balconies draws the general profile of the women in the society.

Şehir Serisi
İstanbul’un aldığı yoğun göç sonucu çoğalan  inşaatlar, günümüzde İstanbul ekonomisinin de en dinamik unsurlarından .Bu yeni mimari kendi kırma ve eklektik estetiğini de beraberinde getiriyor ve şehrin silüetine hakim oluyor. En ucuz cephe kaplama tekniklerinden mozaik bu yeni mimaride en göze çarpan üslup. Fakat bu mozaik tekniği, sadece cephe kaplaması olmasının ötesinde, İstanbul’un bu yeni sakinlerinin kendilerini dışavurdukları bir düzleme de dönüşmüş durumda. İşleme motifleri, yöresel ve dini göndermeleri olan cümleler ve özlü sözlerle bu cepheler, yeni kentlilerin kendilerini ifade ettikleri alternatif bir mecra olma özelliği taşıyor. Polat da bu çalışmasında , bu kitlelerin kente söylediklerini ve oluşturdukları görsel dili çağdaş sanat diliyle işliyor.
